Hello, I’m Lisa, an integrative counsellor based in Bristol, offering counselling for teenagers and adults in Bedminster, across Bristol, online, and through home visits where appropriate.
I am passionate about supporting young people and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, family conflict, self-esteem, or feeling overwhelmed by life’s pressures.
Seeking counselling can feel like a big step. My aim is to make that step feel safe, respectful, and supportive from the very beginning.
I work integratively, which means I tailor therapy to the individual rather than following a single rigid model.
At the heart of my work is a person-centred approach. I believe that when someone feels genuinely heard, accepted, and understood without judgement, meaningful change becomes possible.
Alongside this, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including:
This flexible, integrative approach allows me to adapt therapy to suit each person’s personality, needs, and pace.
Much of my work focuses on teen counselling in Bristol.
Adolescence is a time of rapid emotional and neurological development. Teenagers today face academic pressure, social media influence, friendship challenges, identity exploration, and family dynamics — often all at once.
I provide a confidential and supportive space where teenagers can:
My role is not to “fix” young people, but to walk alongside them while they build understanding, confidence, and coping tools that last beyond therapy.
When working with teenagers, I understand that parents are often navigating their own worries and uncertainty.
I aim to balance:
Parents are typically involved at the beginning to discuss goals, while respecting the teenager’s need for privacy within sessions.
I offer counselling:
This flexibility can make accessing support easier for busy families or for young people who feel more comfortable in their own space.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor with a degree in counselling from Bath Spa Uni, I am an accredited member of the NCPS and have experience in School based counselling. I am committed to ongoing professional development. I work within ethical guidelines and receive regular supervision to ensure safe and effective practice.
Every person who walks into therapy brings their own story, strengths, and struggles. My role is to provide the space and support for that story to be explored with care.
